Alert Levels extended for additional 12 days
Race meetings around the country will continue as planned, following the Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s announcement tonight.
Alert Level Three has been extended in Auckland until Wednesday August 26, while the rest of the country remains at Alert Level Two for another 12 days as well.
That means tomorrow’s day meeting at Cambridge, starting at 11.29am, will continue as planned, as will Kurow (Oamaru) on Sunday. All races will be run under Alert Level Two protocols, which means owners of horses racing at meetings are allowed on course, but the general public is not.
Under these alert levels people and horses cannot cross the border out of the Auckland bubble.
