Changes for owners on IRT New Zealand Cup Day

Owners will notice some key changes this IRT New Zealand Cup day.

Among the biggest differences is that NO passes to Addington will be issued prior to Cup day. They will NOT be emailed to owners beforehand.

Passes will be collected on the day only from the Owners' Pass marquee located adjacent to the main entrance at Christchurch Arena. When collecting your pass, you will need a form of identification.

Things you need to know :

Any owner likely to have a horse racing on Tuesday, November 8 must ensure their email address is registered with HRNZ (03) 964 1200 or email [email protected]. All correspondence from Addington will be by email.

All owners of a horse racing on Cup Day are entitled to receive two passes. Please note this is 2 passes per owner, not 2 passes per horse racing.

The Owners' Pass will allow entry into the racecourse, the Owners' Marquee, the IRT Stables and Christian Cullen Lounge on Level 1 of the Metropolitan Stand.

Syndicates :

If you are part of a syndicate racing on the day, your syndicate manager will oversee the distribution of the passes. All syndicates are limited to 10 passes.

If you are an Owner in a syndicate, but do not have a pass you can purchase General Admission tickets online at www.addington.co.nz. You will not be able to gain access to the Owners Marquee, the IRT Stables or Christian Cullen Lounge.

Racebooks are free of charge for Owners and will be given to Owners when their pass is collected at the Owners' Pass marquee.

If you have purchased a GA ticket, racebooks can be purchased inside the racecourse for $10.

Wayver (cashless way of paying) :

There will be no cash exchanged for those buying food and beverages.

Instead all owners will be using Wayver, with a wristband given to you on arrival at the Owners' Pass marquee. You can put money onto your wristband at any Wayver kiosk on course. There is an activation fee of $3.50 and credit card and paywave surcharges apply.

Owners purchasing GA tickets will receive a Wayver wristband when they enter via the main entrance at Christchurch Arena.

Wayver and cash can be used to purchase racebooks if required and to place a bet.

By going to a kiosk you can get a refund on your credit at any time (credit fees apply), until December 6 2022.

Owners racing a horse for the first time at Addington can collect their Airpark Canterbury Owners Card from the main reception desk inside the Metropolitan Stand on race day. Remember to bring identification.

There is no limit to syndicates.
