December 20
Christmas at Rangiora
Relax, have fun and celebrate the festive season at the races. First race at 12 noon.
Lucky draws, children's entertainment plus live music, and a visit from Santa are just some of the things planned!
Champion race horse Monkey King to lead out the runners in the Rangiora New World Summer Cup, plus an exhibition by rehomed former harness racehorses by the Stable to Stirrup Trust.
Entry $10 - children free
December 24
Christmas Eve at Cambridge Raceway
Bring the whole family to our Christmas Eve meeting. We have a visit from Santa planned and loads of great FREE kids entertainment in our Cambridge Raceway Colts and Fillies area.
Bring a picnic (no BYO alcohol) or dine in at the Luxury Liner Diner, The Clubhouse or in the Skyline Lounge.
December 26 & 28
Westport TC
The two day event at Westport is sure to be a great way to unwind with friends and family after Christmas!
The Johnson Bros Transport 'Summer Festival of Racing' includes the Pulse Energy $20,000 Westport Cup and the Caltex Repco 'Fashion in the Field'.
$10 entry gets you a pass for both days.
$50 losing ticket draws, plus a BBQ day in between on the 27th featuring our famous whitebait patties!
December 27
Come trotting at Gore
Be on-course from 2pm for Gore's greatest party to watch ten races on the grass.
Plenty of great entertainment for the children. Live music by Dene Allen.
Your chance to 'Punt for Gold' (chances to win two gold watches), and a Punters Club will be operating.
Free admission.
December 28
Hawea Picnic Races
The Hawea Picnic Race day is a family-friendly local highlight with something for everyone!
Plenty of great entertainment for children in between races, organised by Radio Wanaka. Sack races, lolly scramble, wheelbarrow races, chocolate wheel, bouncy castle and more!
Food, coffee and ice cream is available at the domain, or bring a picnic and settle in for the day.
$10 entry and school children are free. Come along for a great day out at the Hawea Flat Domain.
December 29
Trots at Mot
Eleven races including the Motukarara Christmas Cup on the big grass track is harness racing at its best.
Free children's entertainment includes a farmyard area, bouncy castles, water rollers and Kidz Kartz, plus more!
Live music by John McCabe - PLUS a big screen to watch the races.
Adults $10 and under 18s are free. First race 12 noon.
December 29

Bring the whole family along, we have plenty of FREE activities and games planned to keep young and old entertained.

December 30
Reefton TC
Reefton is celebrating 150 years with the very popular 'Glamour in the Goldfields' adding a historical racewear category to the line up.
With great hospitality and FREE children's entertainment it promises to be a great day out.

December 31
Auckland Cup, New Year's Eve
It simply wouldn’t be New Year’s Eve without the Auckland Cup and our ever-popular family fun day.
Bring everyone together and enjoy a day at the races, with plenty of fun entertainment for the kids, food trucks, bouncy castles & ponies.
Treat yourself with all you can eat and drink buffet dining, or lap up the sun in our outdoor spaces.
December 31
Winton HRC
Relax and enjoy the last day of 2020 with a picnic at the races at the Winton meeting at Central Southland Raceway in Winton on New Year’s Eve - a great way to end the year.
Free admission – first race 1pm.
January 2
Central Otago TC
Christmas holidays, family gatherings and the Omakau Trots – as kiwi as it gets.
The meeting is legendary for its great family picnic atmosphere, great racing, entertainment, activities, Fashion in the Field, competitions and prizes.
First race 12 noon. Adults $10, under-18s free.
January 3
Rangiora HRC
Great holiday racing on the All-weather grit track!
Great café food and refreshments available.
First Race 1pm - Free admission.
January 4
Roxburgh TC
The popular Roxburgh meeting is set to take place at the Roxburgh Racecourse with the first race scheduled for 2pm.
Fashion in the Field competition is always a highlight with the theme being 'Beautiful With Beads', FREE children’s entertainment, competitions and plenty of activities are planned.
There is always a fantastic variety of food and beverages available around the course, in what is a wonderful picnic day full of great racing and entertainment.
Admission is $10, with under 18s free.
January 4
Kapiti Coast HRC
Dual Code Trots and Gallops at the picturesque Otaki Racecourse.
Gates open 12 noon - Admission is $10.
January 6
Cromwell Trots
The Wyndham Harness Racing Club host a day of harness racing and entertainment at the Cromwell Racecourse.
Fashion in the Field for all ages, a prize for the best picnic, FREE kids entertainment and live music, are just some of the things planned.
First race 12 noon.
Admission is $10, with under 18s free.
January 8

Nelson HRC
Nelson HRC is excited to welcome back harness racing to the Richmond Showgrounds after losing our winter meeting due to Covid.
After a successful trial of mile racing last summer, our Sunday meeting will feature Mile Racing (1609m) for pacers, while the trotters remain over 2400m.
Come along and enjoy a great day of racing in the sun with activities for all, including the MoreFM Kids Zone, and the ever popular 'Fashion in the Field' competition for all ages.

Northern Southland TC
Ascot Park Raceway from 3pm.
Two flights to Stewart Island courtesy of Stewart Island Flights to be won, while owners can enjoy the club’s hospitality in the Alabar Owners Room.

Friday Twilight Meeting will feature a unique mix of live music, fine food, fashion and great racing with the 'On The Green' corporate area.

Sunday is family fun day in the sun, including a childrens area with bouncy castles and other fun activities.
General admission $10 with a portion going to the Lions Club fundraising.
