5 Jenora: Drops out of a far stronger race on Tuesday for this assignment. Good enough to get on the speed and prove hard to beat here tonight.
9 Absolut Russian: Slightly hamstrung by the draw but will appreciate a solid tempo which should unfold and can work into it late.
2 Lavazza: Never much of a factor from a tricky draw on the first day, better marble here and prior form was good enough to make a play for this.
6 Frankie Jones: Hitting the line well on Tuesday and last two runs have suggested things are about to start happening. Gets a good chance here.
6 Lenzie: First starter from the Donnelly stable who comes in here with good workout and trial form. Should prove hard to catch on debut.
8 Moana: Lovely run to finish second, albeit beaten a fair way on Tuesday. Needs good run through from the second line but can be a player.
3 Jetson Hunter: Compiling a strong record with plenty of placings in the mix. Handy draw and a small even field could see things improve here.
5 Dennis Denuto: Would expect a bit of improvement from Tuesday’s debut effort. Small field is an assist and not the worst knockout chance.
9 Veneto: Has been running strong races in good fields recently up the road in Cambridge. Should track through nicely here and can win it.
8 Pilch: Best horse in the race but tricky draw. Will be better for the first day run and with any bit of luck can be a winner here.
13 My Mate Ben: Went down fighting on the first day to grab another placing. Will need to loop them all here, but good enough to do it.
2 Dianne Lorena: Good enough and wasn’t bad a couple of days ago. Good draw here will make all the difference.
5 Final Delight: Orange sticks with the ship after a brave effort on the first day to finish second. Handy enough draw should see a big effort.
9 Milner: Hit the line with real venom on Tuesday and must be closing in on another win at some point soon. No surprise to see it here.
6 Jive: A maiden no longer and it would be no real surprise to see another win come quickly up in grade. Just needs the right run.
7 Ripsnorter: Steps up in distance which could be the major difference here. Likely to roll forward and look to take up a positive spot too.
4 Brantley: Should be at peak fitness now after two runs back from a spell and was hitting the line well on Tuesday. The blowout chance in the feature at odds.
7 Nui Ba Den: Huge effort to get as close as he did on Tuesday. Wide draw but with Blair in the bike, that’s negated somewhat. Can certainly win.
5 Thunderfromthethrone: Another who was booming home late on the first day, just got a little too far back. Dangerous if close enough when they turn in.
9 The Bandit Queen: Too good for most of these on the first day but cops a tricky draw for it which makes the task a little tougher. Needs respect though.
2 Divinia Bellezza: Smart effort late when the gaps finally came on Tuesday to finish third. Better draw here and should be the horse to beat.
5 Play Ball: Another good effort on Tuesday to run second and Orange sticks with the ship too. That’s always a strong pointer. Needed.
9 Benjamin Button: Went beast mode on them on Tuesday to win for fun. Dangerous with a cold shot and is a big chance again.
4 Matai Minky: Another handy effort on Tuesday to finish fifth. Never far away from the action and that’s unlikely to change here either.
6 Mekong Princess: Orange jumps on board and chooses over another runner. So we’ll follow the ship. Has to be a big chance here with a let up in handicap.
8 Our Gracie: Stepped up and delivered a bold victory on the first day at big odds. Can trot a bit so no real surprise. Could lighting strike twice?
7 Belmont’s Greatest: Steps up again after trying hard off a big handicap on Tuesday. This looks a bit easier here so can get in on the action.
4 The Rev: As good as most in the field, but the manners are disappointing at times. Needs to be taken on trust but could win it if in the right mood.
7 Ohoka Bandit: Lugged a flat wheel for a fair distance on Tuesday but still finish third. Better luck here and the maiden status should be removed.
4 Hey Good Lookin: Consistent and tough and won’t leave much to chance here. Should get onto the speed and look to keep them honest.
2 Royal: Not a lot in the luck department on Tuesday so will be looking to turn that around here. Should be a strong winning hope.
1 Drum Beat: Does enough to keep you interested at times and from the inside draw tonight looks set for a good run in transit so can sneak a place.
BEST: 2 Divinia Bellezza (Race 6)
NEXT: 5 Final Delight (Race 4)
VALUE: 4 Brantley (Race 5)
