5 Louie The Horse: Only going to be better for the first up run and at best is a smart customer. Should have a role to play here tonight.
1 Pekeson: Both runs back from the spell have been excellent. Drawn well and possesses a good turn of foot when given the opportunity.
3 Thumbs Up: Not much has gone right since his strong maiden victory. Gets in nicely here and should play a role.
6 Megastar: Handy horse who was a strong second last time out. Even field here makes him a chance tonight.
10 Fanny Hill: Goes back 10m for her dominant win on Friday night but was that good it’s hard to see them turning it around on her. Go again.
1 Monkey Selfie: Talented trotter but not sure if the #1 barrier is going to work in his favour. If he trots, look out.
15 She Reigns: Has taken on stronger fields in last two runs, talented at her absolute best and no surprise to see her figuring in the finish here.
13 Thatgirltrouble: Consistent mare who was handy in two pipe-opening runs at Manawatu. Peak fitness and can certainly play a role here.
3 Major Jellis: Two from two and looking every bit a nice type in the making. Even field here and a good draw so a big chance to make it three.
4 Gemma Mac: Up from Canterbury and does so off the back of a strong victory last time out. Right man in the bike, so big respect.
7 South Coast Arden: Two good runs to open the career and although drawn wide here looks to have a big chance of getting in on the action.
5 Double O Heaven: On her way to Australia, but handy enough to make her presence felt in this after runs in strong fields lately.
6 Dina Bolt: Form on the board might not look flash, but it’s all Sires’ Stakes stuff. Should be far too dominant for this field tonight.
2 The Longest Day: Money on in all four starts thus far. Blair Orange jumps in the bike. Looks a big chance of pushing the #6.
4 New York Minute: Has done a good job in a short career and tonight’s good draw makes him a big chance of getting in on the action again.
15 Bettor Listen: Two starts for two good seconds thus far in the career. Cops a tricky draw, but is good enough to get into the race.
1 Chase Auckland: No shame in his effort on night one and gets the plum draw again here. Can get handy to the speed and looks the one to beat.
12 Thefixer: Spotted putting in some big strides late last Friday night. Cops another awkward draw over the sprint distance, but big chance still.
3 A G’s White Socks: Welcome back old mate, welcome back. Loves The Park and won a Taylor Mile here so sprint trip no worries. Chance.
5 Colt Thirty One: Put in some big work late on Friday night after working from a tricky draw. Better suited here and won’t leave it to chance.
3 Majestic Man: Broke stop watches with his closing sectionals on Friday night. Clearly a big fan of this venue and with a good run, he should win.
5 Winterfell: Dominant win on the opening night. Got it all right and showed what he can do. Handy draw tonight so has to be considered.
2 Habibi Inta: Run wasn’t as bad as it looked on the first night. Master trainer will have things ironed out. Too good to drop.
9 Massive Metro: Brave in defeat on the first night. Tricky draw to work from here, but has the speed to reel most of these in late.
7 Ultimate Sniper: Went beast mode on them on Friday night and could not have been any more impressive. Repeat that and he’s the one to beat.
1 San Carlo: Not too bad on the first night but drawn to go forward here and keep them honest. Might take some catching too.
8 Cruz Bromac: Horror draw for him after excellent effort on opening night. Will have to work for it, but we know he’s good enough.
9 Bling It On: Speed horse, who might be better suited to coming off the speed here than setting it. Should get a good trip. So don’t drop.
1 Marcoola: Very good on the opening night. Didn’t show as much gate speed as expected, but maybe more in store here. Hard to catch.
9 Tough Monarch: Disappointing on first night, but trainer blaming himself. Sweet trip on the cards here so right back in contention.
3 Temporale: Lovely effort on the first night of the series and from tonight’s handy draw should be right in the fight once again.
7 Big Jack Hammer: Did it the hard way to lead up on the first night, but did keep fighting to the line. Looks a chance again here.
BEST: 6 Dina Bolt (Race 4)
NEXT: 1 Marcoola (Race 8)
VALUE: 5 Louie The Horse (Race 1)
