2 Folly’s Trouble: As per the normal, another honest effort on Day One to run second. Must be rewarded with a maiden success soon. Good chance here.
11 Champagne Prince: In here nicely as a race winner and brave effort for third on the first day up in grade. Can make the presence felt off the 30m handicap.
3 Milly An Eyre: Got a bit rank in the gait when looking in contention on Friday. A chance again with complete manners.
4 Majestic Action: Settled off the speed on first day and unwound nicely to run third. Has to be a chance again here based on that performance.
6 Olive Cook: Brave effort to run second after setting the tempo on Friday. Heading forward again here and has to be considered a strong chance.
7 Stetson: Did a bit of work on the first day and didn’t throw in the towel. Expecting a bold performance here, especially if he can find the front.
12 Delma Craze: Carried plenty of support on Friday in debut in effort for third. Better for that experience and a nice chance of going better here.
4 Beaudiene Overtake: Back to the mobile here today after good effort from the stand on Friday. Always there or thereabouts.
4 Christian Command: Never looked likely on debut on Friday. Trials form was too good to drop on one par performance. Can turn it around in this line up.
11 Hands Up Jack: More tractable on Friday and dug in nicely for a good second. Will have to get into the race at some point again but not the worst chance of going one better.
2 Uno Mia: Nice run for fourth a couple of days ago. Handy draw to work from and is sure to give a good account in this even looking line up.
8 Kayla Maguire: Tough effort on the opening day. Has shown enough to be considered an each way hope in this assignment.
5 That Alexander Guy: Dug in once clear on Friday for a good third. Should be prominent from this draw and will be sure to give supporters plenty to cheer about.
8 Sonic Reign: Going great guns at the moment with really good performances. Wide draw here, but form is good enough against this even looking field to warrant serious consideration.
6 All Nuts N Bolts: Not far away on the first day. No superstar, just a good honest toiler. He’ll get near to the speed today and be there when things count.
10 Rozzano: Put into the race on Friday and fought well to finish fourth. Slightly trickier draw here so requires a bit of luck, but without doubt good enough.
4 Morningstar Gold: Stepped up nicely and delivered a solid effort on Friday for second. Handy draw to work from here if he can ping away nicely. A good each way hope.
11 Sippinonjack: Fresh legs to the meeting after dominant maiden victory at Nelson. Has upside and will be sure to be a chance in this field here today.
3 Pine Cone: Another great effort to finish third on the first day. Just lands in the right spots and runs home strongly. Expecting the same again here.
6 Arocknatthepark: Disappointing on day one off a handicap, but is much better than that. Might be best on the speed and could land there today.
3 Madeleine Stowe: Looked very unlucky not to finish closer on the first day. That bodes well for a race like this. Expecting a very big showing here, especially if Orange can find a good spot.
5 Clifden Clowers: Can fly the tape and eat up the 10m handicap quickly here. That will put him right in contention. Form is good enough to win with the right trip.
8 Mr Fahrenheit: Gait issues on the first day didn’t help matters much. Usually very good with the manners so no surprise if things turn around here.
6 Valley Star: Two very good efforts following bold Nelson first day win. Nice run on Friday and gets a little closer to them here. Not the worst.
8 A Bettor Act: Talented pacer now in the care of Mitchell Kerr. Good enough to mix it with some of the best of his age at times this season, so no surprise to see him round this lot up.
7 Givemewhatineed: Dour effort on the first day and does appear to be getting a little more tractable. Best is very good and if he found the front they might not peg him back.
2 Mini Mine Yet: Deserved the win on Friday after honest shifts all over the place this campaign. Likely to end up in a good spot again here and will offer good each way hope.
1 Jenora: Not bad on the first day and gets the good draw to work from here today. That should see her in a good spot and ready to strike when things get serious.
2 Paddyproudfoot: Southland pacer who was emphatic winning on Day One from the trail. No worse off in the handicaps here and has to be a strong chance to double up.
8 Smokin Bay: Has been mixing it with some pretty heavy hitters this season and has never been far away either. In here nicely and as long as he can ping away, he’ll be a chance.
5 Storm Prince: Found the front early on Friday and was there to the end. Similar tactics may be possible here and he’ll give a great sight once more.
3 Doitson: Putting in some nice strides late on the first day. Better for that run and not the worst chance here if he can land a spot and get the right sort of trip.
4 Paul’s Verdict: Gate speed is a beautiful thing and he’s got plenty. Not a bad run on the first day for second. On the speed here and can win with a bit of luck up the lane.
12 Fynn Frost: Not fault in any runs recently and second line draw might work out OK as he generally winds up anyway. Even enough looking field to get the win on the board.
3 Proactor: Plenty of upside in the victory on Friday. Not going up in grade too much here. Has the upside to go forward and be a player in this race today.
1 Lydia: Handy enough wee pacer who didn’t get a lot of luck on the first day. Good swing in draw here Can get her right back into the action.
BEST: 3 Madeliene Stowe (Race 6)
NEXT: 6 Olive Cook (Race 2)
VALUE: 4 Paul’s Verdict (Race 9)
