Stewart's got all six

By Adam Hamilton

IT is not often you can say with absolute certainly a trainer WILL win a race.

Kiwis have seen plenty of races dominated by the All Stars barn, but Victoria’s top trainer has taken it to another level in one of the feature races at Ballarat tomorrow (Friday) night.

Stewart trains the whole field – yes, all six runners – in the $15,000 Colin & Heather Holloway 3YO Classic (1710m).

And three of them – Centenario (gate two), Hurricane Harley (four) and Demon Delight (six) – are up with absolute best of their age group in Australia.

And Stewart’s had to go far and wide and use some drivers rarely seen on her horses for the race.

Stable driver Chris Alford is aboard Centenario, who is the early $1.70 favourite.

David Moran, who teamed with outsider Pistol Abbey to win last Saturday night’s Group 1 Queen of the Pacific for Stewart, takes the reins on $2.10 second elect Hurricane Harley.

The other runners and drivers are: Always First (gate one, $34, Cameron Hart), Two Times Bettor (four, $51, Kima Frenning), Fourbigmen (five, $21, Greg Sugars) and Demon Delight (six, $5.50, Kate Gath).
