HRNZ's Foal Watch series

Foal Watch is HRNZ’s new video mini series which will follow a mare and her foal from conception to birth.

The series of short videos will feature on the HRNZ You Tube and Facebook platforms and will highlight the process from conception in 2018 to birth in spring of 2019.

The aim is to capture and explain the process of getting a mare in foal, the following scans to ensure she carries the foal, and then updates throughout her pregnancy.

Culminating in the birth of the foal, and allowing viewers to be a part of this special journey that our breeders travel each breeding season, all in the hope of breeding the next champion.

A massive thanks to Sara Smith and the team at Dancingonmoonlight Farm, and also the team at Rangiora Vet Centre for allowing HRNZ to document this journey.
