Southern Harness Online Noms

ONLINE NOMINATIONS FROM 1st DECEMBER

The Southern Harness Racing Board has made a directive from 1st December ALL nominations must be made online. This will act as confirmation of your nominations.

With Southern Harness Racing now preparing race fields for over 70 meetings this historical process of receiving manual nominations by phone is an inefficient use of staff resources.  With the workload, this manual process also increases the risk of errors being made.

Note: This is for nominations only and all other communication will be as in the past.

Nominations will need to be done through the Trainers Login Password on the HRNZ Website or by login on your phone by downloading the app.  Please watch the tutorial below:

https://infohorse.hrnz.co.nz/infohorse/hrnzapphowto.htm

If trainers wish to have training on the use of online nominations please contact the Southern Harness office and this will be arranged for you.

FINALS – NUGGET, LADYSHIP AND GOLD CHIP SERIES

After a successful Nugget Series and culminating in a Super Nugget Final for a $20,000 stake, the Board has gone further and introduced a Ladyship Series for fillies and mares. All these series finals have a stake of $12,000 and Super Finals for $20,000.

All winners of Finals gain automatic qualification for the Super Finals. Dates are:

  • Super Nugget Final (Pacers) – 9th March 2019 (NSTC)
  • Ladyship Stakes Final (Fillies & Mares) – 6th April 2019 (Invercargill HRC)
  • Gold Chip Final (Trotters) – 13th April 2019 (Winton HRC)

For full conditions of these series please refer to Raceday Programmes.

STAKES INCREASE

All Races programmed rated R60 & faster will be carrying a stake of $14,999 (irrespective of gait).  This is to reward the faster classes horses in the area and a continual increase in stakes in Southland to keep the horses locally and not offshore.
