3 Ruby Seddon: Good third behind some smart ones last Saturday at Orari. Building in confidence and should be ready to strike today.
10 Appearance: Sat parked but didn’t throw it away at Amberley on Wednesday. Similar run here would have him right in commission again.
11 Kash Valley: In good nick and trotting boldly. Likely to land on or near the speed and from there should play a part in it.
17 Sun Swinger: There was plenty to like about the debut run at Mot. Hitting the line strongly. No harder here so a live hope again.
12 Tabitha Franco: Locally trained mare who hit the line strongly last time out at Addington. Has performed well here in the past too and deserves a winning turn.
3 Ohoka Matty: Brave effort at Orari to continue to rise in form. Should be a major player from today’s good draw with Blair Orange in the bike.
16 Jafa Kitten: Came from last at Orari to finish third. Unruly makes it hard for her to win but a good place chance all the same.
5 Superstar Legend: Brave effort for second in the same race as Jafa Kitten at Orari. Won’t die wondering and should be right there.
11 Strong Enough: Has carried strong support in both races to date and performed well. First look at grass but big respect for stable and driver combination.
6 Mighty Monica: Qualified really nicely and showed a bit of grit when doing so. Looks sensible enough so should handle the occasion on debut.
2 Victor Tango: On speed horse who is going great guns at the moment. Loves to roll along so may try and keep them honest.
7 Glory Days: Not much went right on Blenheim trip but has won a trial since. Clearly capable and a big run here would be no surprise.
16 One Over Da Stars: Hold your breath time. The best horse in the race by about 10 lengths. But manners are woeful. Trot all the way and win. Gallop and it’s curtains.
5 Girls Let Loose: Progressive trotter who has a bit of ability. Has performed at workouts on the track so no worries with the grass.
10 BK Dawn: Loves the Methven track and always gives the band of supporters something to cheer about.
2 Foreigner: Did it tough last week at Orari but again didn’t shirk the challenge. Might find the markers today which will help.
11 Fortune Tiller: Dragged back by a tiring runner last time out at Orari but boomed home behind Vinnie Rulz at the Mot. Clear air today and no surprise if there’s a win at the end of it.
2 Just N Awe: Massive drop in grade for this runner and always respect for the Hope team on this track. Hard to beat.
8 Lilac Star: Going great guns at the moment evidenced by two strong runs at Blenheim. Loves the grass and will appreciate a solid tempo.
6 Cheezel: Has come back in fine fettle this time around and seems to be really rounding off races which is good for a race like this.
7 Kendra: Showed her true worth with dashing win last time out. Very impressive. Has flown on this track in workouts and trials in the past and should be hard to beat.
4 Bubbled Up: All Stars runner who was fourth in the Jewels. That form has stacked up well so far and should continue to do so here.
1 Kotare Yolande: On the best behaviour and jogged it last week. A live chance if she’s in the right mood.
9 Mossdale Art: Talented filly who was off her game last time. Won workouts and trials here and can win this, even from the draw.
8 Artstanding: Classy customer back from rich racing in Auckland. Finds a perfect race to get things going for the year and really should be winning.
10 Bush Man: Emerged from well back to place on Wednesday. Trickier from this draw, but clear air and he’ll be booming home.
4 Shardan Suzie: Resumed with a fine second at Orari last week and should take plenty of benefit from the run. Chance in an even field.
2 Myboylolliepop: Ticking along nicely and running good races. Even line up today so not the worst hope.
11 Gore Bay: Hard to get a line at Amberley on Wednesday but too good for most of these at Mot the week before. Big chance.
9 Franco Hampton: Flopped at Blenheim on the second day but form prior was very good. Dangerous if in front and doing it as he likes.
12 Kotare Cullen: Freshened after Nelson failure. Prior form was excellent and he wont be too far away today.
1 Di Caprio: Won with a bit in store last Saturday. Progressive pacer with a big motor and some chance off the front tape here.
2 Ultimate Rocker: Up and coming pacer who has had a strong start to the career. Ricky May and Laurence Hanrahan combo makes us interested.
6 Maurice: Did It as he liked at Orari. Clearly a horse on the up and don’t expect the next grade to hold too many problems for him.
10 Corena Lea: Burst home from well back against the bias on Wednesday. Loving life while in foal and can place again here.
13 Unfinished Business: Gets back but does run home strong. Just needs to land a little closer today to be a part of the action.
14 Time For Diamonds: Last run was behind Great Things Happen at Addington. This is worlds apart and with any luck should get back in the winning column.
3 Take After Me: Took the rampant Valloria to beat him on Wednesday. Loves to bowl along and keep them honest and may do the same here.
12 One Over Da Skye: Won a couple nicely but off the boil since. No doubt the ability is there though and to good to drop.
7 One Over Dover: A risky prospect by any stretch of the imagination but has a motor and was very good last Saturday.
1 Vinnie Rulz: In great nick and chased a smart one home last Saturday. Good draw and should get the right trip to be a player.
12 Feel The Money: Third in the same race as Vinnie Rulz last week and was very good too. Can swoop on these late.
8 Overarm: Out of a much stronger grade than this and has been in good nick for a while now. A strong each way chance.
7 One Direction: Given a freshen up and won’t mind trying to burst over the top of these late if given the opportunity.
BEST: 8 Artstanding (Race 7)
NEXT: 12 Tabitha Franco (Race 2)
VALUE: 11 Fortune Tiller (Race 5)
