6 Laydeenwaiting: Canterbury raider who won’t be here to just bolster the numbers. Goes near enough and been set for this assignment. Should go close in the day’s opener.
9 Ain’t Nothing Bettor: Bold again on Friday when finishing second. Inside of the second line makes things tougher, but should still be a player in what is not a deep field.
8 American Me: Attacked the line nicely on debut on Friday when finishing second. Should stand up well and be right in the fight again today even from the wide draw.
5 Jackhammer Joe: Not bad in first run for the House stable on Friday when third. Not much stronger here today so a place chance once again.
7 Von Richthofen: Not bad on the first day and might be a little bit better for the run after travelling north. Has to be a live chance in a wide open field.
2 TC Business: Stablemate of the above who sat parked on Friday and wilted late. Looking for some cover early here and a more positive result can eventuate.
4 Marrera: Hinted a return to form wasn’t far away two starts back. Won’t get many better chances than what is presented today.
1 Red River Dash: Fought well enough on the first day when finishing fourth. Same draw again and a nice run in store too so similar result.
11 Majestic One: Goes back to 80m today which looks horrible, but really it’s only 60m with just one maiden off the front line. Should be too good for them again.
12 November Guy: Fought bravely on Friday. Will be better for the run and has company all the way back there on the 80m handicap.
9 Laura Bush: Good run for third on Friday. Similar field so has to be given a good chance of going close to success again, especially if she can settle well in front of backmarkers.
4 Burt Munro: Manners the key and no worries with this one. On the speed and not chasing like everyone else so a realistic top four chance.
7 Bill Haley: A level above them on the first day when winning impressively. Hard to see how they can stop him again off the front tape. Looks a good thing.
9 Imola: Had to check off wheels at the wrong time on Friday but when balanced back up the line was hit with venom. Should improve with the run too.
4 The Night Hawk: Jogged it on Friday when down in grade. Did it too easy to think he couldn’t be a player against stronger opposition here.
8 Alta Leonie: Brave on Friday when beaten late by Bill Haley. Should give a good account once more.
2 Xmas Bay: Friday was no fluke. Goes better than the form would suggest and with a strong run on the speed another win would be no surprise.
12 Westar Sam: Won easily on Friday. Always been talented and new surroundings are clearly working the oracle. A chance again.
9 Go Getta: Brave when sitting parked on first day behind The Night Hawk. Harder to be on the speed today but a chance all the same.
11 Bonnie Boy: Another first day winner and did it nicely too. No chance of leading them a merry chase again but good enough to play a role once more.
7 The Night Hawk: Has the option of two races and they may choose here instead of stepping up to the really good ones. Smashed them on Friday and if in here a repeat effort on the cards.
8 The Bandit Queen: Ran home well for third on Friday. Going super and shouldn’t be too far away again here.
6 Jetenara: Third of the Dickson runners, but brave in front on Friday. Should head forward again and not be too far away again either.
9 Seet Maggie Ryan: Tried hard behind Ally Mae on Friday beating a few race rivals in the process. Only runner on the second line so can pick and choose where to go early. Good each way chance.
BEST: 7 The Night Hawk (Race 6)
NEXT: 7 Bill Haley (Race 4)
VALUE: 2 Xmas Bay (Race 5)
