10 Chain Reaction: Went close on day one when emerging up the lane. Drawn to get an economical trip here behind a potential leader and can be a player.
1 Midas Touch: Galloped on Day One but the recovery effort was pretty impressive. Manners the key but a winning chance if they come along for the day.
6 Jay Tee Tyron: Sure to be better for the race day experience following the third on debut. Stable and driver respect goes a long way.
9 Jazelle: Did well for fourth on the first day. Wide draw doesn’t help much here, but must be given a strong top four chance.
9 You Really Got Me: Was still in contention on day one when galloping. Manners are always the big question, but the best horse in the race so naturally top selection.
5 Zsa Zara: String of seconds tells you all you need to know. In great nick. Has good manners and a strong each way hope here again.
1 Easy Pickings: Might have just about been going to win at Oamaru last time out before the gallop. Getting better with racing and live hope again today.
7 Four Hills: Manners were all at sea on Day One but workouts and trials had been good enough to suggest a bold run here wouldn’t be a surprise.
1 Miss Pinocchio: Things went pear-shaped pretty quickly at Oamaru when heavily supported. Redemption time from the pole position here.
3 Glenledi Bandit: Beaten by a handy one up the lane on Day One when heavily supported. In this up to his eye balls from a handy draw.
6 Snow Printz: Did some work on Friday and didn’t shirk the task. Better drawn here so a live hope of filling a top three spot.
8 Awesome Official: Good run on Friday after a quiet run on the markers. Might push forward early and look to get handy. Can fill a spot from there too.
2 Unique Marshall: Destroyed them on the first day in effortless fashion. Gets in well again here and should be hard to beat on that performance.
7 Rocknpop: Another honest effort on Friday when running second. Deserves a winning turn and gets another chance here.
12 Sioux Princess: Hard to get warm on Day One but did hit the line well. Might get a little closer here and can really sprint when asked too.
3 Shpeedy: Punters burnt on Friday. Running out of chances but allowed one more here to get things back on track.
3 Rozzano: Up from Southland and was too good when in control at Roxburgh two starts back. Might try similar here and could be hard to catch with fresh legs.
1 JJ’S Delight: Nice run on Friday to finish third. Drawn to no work here so shouldn’t be too far away again.
11 God Only Knows: Flat a long way from home but kept coming on Friday. Might go searching here and could be dangerous.
2 Garry’s Legacy: Good draw is a big aid to his chances. On the speed and won’t be far away when things get serious.
8 Anamajor: Smashed them in a maiden field at Motukarara last time out. Horse on the up and hard to stop today with a good run.
12 Tuapeka Trick: Looked to have them beat on Day One but Dadndave travelling too good on his back. Big chance today.
3 Ruby Tues Bay: Has a motor and was impressive on Day One. Can handle the rise in grade and shouldn’t be too far away from the action.
11 Eastwood Chieftain: Escapes the Cup company for this. Might relish the opportunity too. On the speed and grinding his go.
9 Bonnie Highlander: Fresh up but does possess a huge motor. Just needs to behave herself and she’ll be very hard to beat today.
10 Scarlett Banner: Good run on Friday, just beaten by a very good horse. Manners back in action and so is she.
8 Tokyo Joe: Nice run for fourth on Friday. Getting better and better and shouldn’t be too far away here.
1 Zsa Zoe: Good manners and a nice draw should spell out a big run here. On the markers, doing no extra work and good place fodder.
7 Kotare Cullen: Jogged it on the first day – way too good for them. Expecting another bold display here against a largely similar field.
3 Tyron Bettor’s Ella: No match for the stablemate on the first day but a very good run all the same. Similar tactics adopted here and she’s a chance again.
2 Huey Lewis: Got supports home with a big run on Friday. Up in grade but progressive and shouldn’t be too far away here.
5 Dadndave: Good win on Friday. Up and coming pacer facing his toughest test. Can handle things too.
2 Spot On: Big priced winner at Ashburton who was very good next time as well when up in grade. Dangerous if allowed to set own terms here.
7 Feel The Money: Hit the line strongly for second on opening day. High speed mare who is a big chance of success here today.
1 Mini Mine Yet: Dug deep on Friday after sitting parked when beaten by two smart ones. This draw should pan out better and give a good chance of filling a top three spot again.
5 Barkley: Fought hard for his fourth on Day One. Small field is a big assist and shouldn’t be too far away from them again today.
BEST: 1 Miss Pinocchio (Race 3)
NEXT: 7 Kotare Cullen (Race 8)
VALUE: 3 Rozzano (Race 5)
