Killer Queen retired

Former NZ filly Killer Queen, who paced a fast 1:52.1 mile at Menangle (NSW) in January, has been sold by her Kiwi owners to join the broodmare programme at Alabar Australia.

Killer Queen (5m Rock N Roll Heaven-Party Girl Becqui), was a former $30,000 buy at the 2014 NZ Premier Yearling Sales.

Formerly prepared at Pukekohe by trainer Ray Green, she won nine (three at Menangle) of 59 starts for $155,629 and gave her connections a big thrill when third to the All Stars pairing of Dream About Me and Arden's Choice in the 2015 Harness Jewels 2YO Diamond.

North American drivers for Perth

Two of North America’s rising driving stars are heading to Perth to compete in an International Invitation series at Gloucester Park during the Inter-Dominions.

Recently crowned world champion, James McDonald of Canada, and the US representative, Marcus Miller, who ran third in that Canada-hosted series, will take on Australasia’s best over two nights - the third night of Inter heats (Friday  December 1) - and Grand Final night a week later.
