Koru Care Night At Alexandra Park
- 01 April 2015
Friday 17th April 2015 at 5.30pm Koru Care New Zealand are taking over Alexandra Park’s elite function room the Tasman Room for their fundraising race night.
The Koru Care fundraising evening is raising money to send children to America or the Gold Coast to help make dreams come true for seriously ill and disabled children. The volunteer team work for no financial reward and simply are donating time and expertise to make dreams come true for kids who have drawn the short straw. In some cases they have cancer, kidney disease or heart problems, in other cases they have lost the use of their limbs or have serious abnormalities. But they still have the capability to smile, laugh and create good memories; they just need someone to wave the magic wand.
The night at Alexandra Park will feature on the first evening of the Autumn Trotting Carnival and includes a gourmet buffet, silent auctions, raffles plus the return of their own version of horse racing with great prizes up for grabs.
Tickets can be purchased for $55 per person and can also be sold as tables for 10 guests.
Gabby Garton-Voice, Sales & Event Coordinator is thrilled to be working with such a worthy cause. “Alexandra Park donates to many charities over the year and it has been great to be able to support such a worthy organisation. The donations received from this event play a vital part of ensuring they can continue to make dreams come true.”
