Racing Information and Ownership Co-ordinator


Based in Christchurch, Harness Racing New Zealand (HRNZ) employs 25 full time staff and provides a comprehensive range of services to the Harness Racing industry. 

This recently created role will act as a primary source of support to the Marketing Manager in promoting ownership and wagering within the wider racing industry.

The role will also focus on developing and growing the TrotTech brand targeted at increasing wagering and promoting ownership within the industry.

Applicants will have considerable marketing experience, coupled with knowledge of event management. An ability to work as part of a tightly knit team that operates across a wide range of industry groups is essential. An understanding of the Harness Racing industry is an advantage but not essential.

The key requirements of the Racing Information and Ownership Co-ordinator are:

  • Skills in website maintenance (CMS, Joomla etc.)
  • Computer literate (Including Word, Excel)
  • Strong design and videography skills (Including InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop etc.)
  • Self-starter, with ability to work unsupervised and at irregular hours from time to time
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Strong people and communication (written and oral) skills
  • Event management experience
  • This role is important to the growth of Harness Racing NZ’s focus on ownership and wagering growth. It also provides an opportunity for long term career progression in what is a very dynamic and exciting industry.
