Independent Directors sought for HRNZ Board
Harness Racing New Zealand is seeking applications for two Independent Directors to join the newly structured HRNZ board.
Following a vote earlier this year by the clubs and kindred bodies of Harness Racing New Zealand the make-up and structure of the board of Harness Racing New Zealand has been reduced from 11 members down to eight (which includes two Independent Directors.)
This streamlined board model will see HRNZ better equipped to deal with the challenges that the industry faces in an increasingly competitive racing and sports environment.
For the two Independent Director positions we seek interest from individual who possess a well-developed level of business or commercial acumen ideally accompanied by previous knowledge and experience of working at a governance level.
The new directors will contribute diversity of thought to ensure successful and sustainable long term business performance.
Applications will close on 6 October 2019.
