Handicapping Update – No Discretion Trial Extended
The ‘No Discretion’ trial that was to conclude on 30 September 2019 has been extended by HRNZ for a further two weeks and will now conclude after racing on Sunday the 13th of October.
After the success of the initial three-month trial of the ‘no Discretion’ system, and taking into account feedback from the industry, the Handicapping Sub-Committee has recommended several minor changes to be ratified by the incoming board.
The extension allows HRNZ to get through this week’s Annual Conference (27th & 28th), and to establish its new Board, before considering the recommended amendments from the Handicapping Committee to the Guiding Principles.
