Group Club liability insurance scheme

HRNZ is pleased to announce that the Group Club liability insurance scheme was approved by the Board and will be in place for our Clubs from the end of the day on 31st July 2022.

The Group Club liability scheme is being managed by our insurance brokers Marsh. Clubs include registered clubs as outlined in the First schedule of HRNZ’s Constitution together with Clubs that are not on this list that run trials.

Clubs were emailed this week with the details of the liability insurance cover and what they have to do regarding their existing liability insurance. The scheme does not include cyber insurance cover, although this insurance can be arranged separately by a Club, at their own cost, with Marsh if required.

This is great news as HRNZ will top-slice the cost of the liability insurance (except cyber insurance) which will represent a saving for the Clubs on their insurance costs. There are further savings on the total liability insurance cost currently paid by Clubs due to better rates under the group scheme.
