Friday the 27th July is set to determine the legends of Alexandra Park for another season. The Streamline Freight Premiership awards the top performances for the following categories:
New Zealand’s best preformed junior reinsman- Zac Butcher is set to continue his winning streak as he leads the Streamline Freight junior driver premiership. Butcher at 21 will also be the first junior driver to win this award in successive seasons.
The young up-and-coming driver has been biting at the heels of the Iceman Tony Herlihy MNZM, all season but Herlihy has made a late dash in the past month and has a 9 win lead in front of Butcher for the Streamline Freight open driver’s premiership heading into Friday.
The top trainer award has been close throughout the season between the Purdon brothers fighting for top honours. The training/ driving partnership between Barry Purdon and Zac Butcher has proven to be a remarkable combo and sets Barry Purdon up for the Streamline Freight Top Trainer Award.
