The Equine Vets of New Zealand recommend suspension of use of Caco Iron Copper in performance horses
'Following on from the informal discussion at the recent AGM of the NZEVA, it is considered prudent that members consider not using the product Caco Iron Copper in performance horses.
We recommend this until issues of detection and the potential significance of arsenic and its metabolites with regards to perceived performance enhancement, and hence its status as a prohibited substance, are resolved.
