Content Producer

Based in Christchurch, Harness Racing New Zealand (HRNZ) employs 28 full time staff and provides a comprehensive range of services to the Harness Racing industry.

This newly created role will act as a primary source of content for all of our news outlets and provide copy to the wider media on a daily basis.

Applicants will have considerable journalistic experience, coupled with a strong knowledge of web based media. An ability to work as part of a tightly knit team that often deals with strict deadlines is essential.

A high degree of Harness Racing experience is required and an ability to build strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders from within the industry is critical. Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to develop networks and uncover unique stories will be key attributes to your success. As you will be dealing with industry participants on a daily basis professionalism in both presentation and work ethic is essential.

As we continue to develop our online footprint and look to expand the online media services we provide, skills enabling you to drive this process and contribute to its development will be held in high regard.

Education Assistant

Based in Christchurch, Harness Racing New Zealand (HRNZ) employs 28 full time staff and provides a comprehensive range of services to the Harness Racing industry.

One of these important duties is to deliver industry leading training to our young people and ensure they are well skilled for a future in Harness Racing.

The Education Assistant's role combines a range of educational tasks including tutoring, administration and facilitating the delivery of our training.

The role reports to the National Education and Training Manager and you will work closely with them to deliver our educational programme.

This is a full time role based in Christchurch with monthly overnight travel required.

Flexibility in working hours is essential as is demonstrable experience in the equine industry.

Some history of teaching or working with youth is preferred although further training will be provided.
