RACE 1 - DAVID FAIRLIE FAREWELL MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 6.00 p.m. Actual start time: 6.01.01 p.m.
Due to motorway congestion P. Butcher was late arriving on course with M. McKendry taking the drive on EASTWOOD SAPPHIRE as a late change of driver. CAPS N ART broke at the start settling at the back of the field. Racing into the first bend RIVER GLIDE broke free of interference settling at the rear. CAPS N ART which was hanging badly during the running started to give ground and broke with 500m to run causing a check to MO CULLEN. The connections of RIVER GLIDE and CAPS N ART were warned to improve their respective horse's racing manners.
RACE 2 - "ETA" SPUDS HANDICAP TROT
Advertised start time: 6.27 p.m. Actual start time: 6.28.27 p.m.
DRAPPIER was a late scratching from this event with a veterinary certificate being provided. There was a late change of driver on DREAMACHIEVER from T. Mitchell to P. Ferguson due to T. Mitchell being late on course due to motorway congestion. Horses to make mistakes at the start and during the running were MEANDER WITH EARL, MISS POPPET, FRANCES ROSS, CONTINENTAL PRIDE and BAREFOOT ZOLA. The connections of BAREFOOT ZOLA were advised that this horse has been declared ineligible for 14 days up to and including 11th December 2009. Trainer E. Clarke was warned to improve FRANCES ROSS' racing manners, this horse taking no serious part in the race. Favourite PHOEBE GLADIATOR (A.G. Herlihy) settled in the trail, had use of the passing lane in the run home but only battled to finish 7th. An investigation was held into the delay to the start of this race establishing that the club, through an office error, failed to advise the starter that DRAPPIER was a late scratching. This matter will be rectified in the future.
RACE 3 - "GOLDEN SUN" MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 6.55 p.m. Actual start time: 6.55.31 p.m.
EYECATCHER COURAGE broke during the run home free of interference and appeared to be lame on pulling up. A veterinary examination on course suggested this horse be x-rayed tomorrow by its regular veterinary surgeon. This horse will require a veterinary certificate of fitness before it resumes. Favourite ARDEN'S DARLING (M. Purdon) settled last from its barrier draw in this small field, improved three wide without cover with 1200m to run was up handy in the run home but the effort told finishing 6th.
RACE 4 - THE BELL TEA CLASSIC MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 7.28 p.m. Actual start time: 7.28.30 p.m.
BRAEMOOR broke in the run up losing several lengths before settling. This horse broke again down the back straight losing all chance. The connections were warned to improve BRAEMOOR'S racing manners. An information was lodged alleging a breach of Rule 869(4) in that horseman I. Brownlee drove JASPER'S MATE in a manner likely to cause interference when moving inwards forcing ALTA ONASIS (D.J. Butcher) down on to GALACTIC EAGLE (T. Macfarlane) the latter having to take severe evasive action when racing into the first bend. The hearing was opened and adjourned until the 4th of December 2009.
RACE 5 - WATTIE'S "WHAT ELSE" MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 7.55 p.m. Actual start time: 7.55.24 p.m.
RIPPED POCKET broke in the run up and missed the start by several lengths. Trainer M. Wallis was warned to improve RIPPED POCKET'S mobile starting manners.
RACE 6 - GREGG'S CAFÉ GOLD CLASSIC MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 8.23 p.m. Actual start time: 8.23.29 p.m.
HARD TO SAY broke shortly after the start when vying for the lead. This horse ran out badly and settled at the rear. HARD TO SAY broke again early in the run home losing all chance. Trainer D. Gale was advised that HARD TO SAY has been declared unruly for mobile starts and he was also warned to improve its racing manners. LADY LUCK SMILES broke badly late in the run home losing its chance. The connections were warned to improve this horse's racing manners.
RACE 7 - THE ANCHOR CLASSIC HANDICAP TROT
Advertised start time: 8.51 p.m. Actual start time: 8.52.16 p.m.
SUNJON broke at the start as did SUNOVER DOVER which checked LA FEMME D'ARGENT and SIERRA ROYDON. Trainer R. Darby was warned to improve the standing start manners of SUNOVER DOVER. FEATHERFLIGHT broke during the running. Trainer M. Wallis was advised to improve FEATHERFLIGHT'S racing manners. Favourite GREAT GETAWAY (A. G. Herlihy) settled towards the rear over the early stages, improved with approximately 600m to run three wide with cover, finishing 6th.
RACE 8 - NIVEA FOR MEN MOBILE PACE

RACE 9 - 2009 PAK'N SAVE FRANKLIN CUP
Advertised start time: 9.50 p.m. Actual start time: 9.50.36 p.m.
LE OPERATIVE was a late scratching with a veterinary certificate provided. This horse sustained an injury when being transported to the track. ARMA FAKE was inconvenienced by the inward movement of the favourite PEMBROOK BENNY, ARMA FAKE shied and became unbalanced, breaking as the barrier was released losing its chance. With approximately 1000m left to run HE'S MY HERO broke when being steadied. An investigation was held into the breaking of HE'S MY HERO (M.W. McKendry) and it was established that the front hopple carrier had broken. The gear was inspected and found to be in good condition and trainer R. Green was found not to be at fault. ZENAD gave ground over the concluding stages finishing a distant last. A veterinary examination ordered by the Stipendiary Stewards found no abnormalities.
RACE 10 - CADBURY MOBILE PACE

RACE 11 - MOLENBERG CLASSIC MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 10.50 p.m. Actual start time: 10.50.38 p.m.
FRANCO NOUVEL failed to move off with the rest of the field in the run up behind the mobile and was pulled up by its driver, this horse taking no part in the race. Trainer G. Small was advised that FRANCO NOUVEL has been declared ineligible for 14 days up to and including 11th December 2009. KYUNA BOO was observed to tangle briefly in the run home when under pressure. Favourite YANKEE DREAM (J. Dunn) settled three back during the running, tried to improve throughout the run home finishing 6th.
