RACE 1: PURE RACING AFTER DARK PARTY - TWIGGERS 3RD APRIL MOBILE TROT
Advertised start time: 6.05pm Actual start time: 6.05.38pm
DEALORNODEAL and ARABESS broke in the score up being back at despatch while shortly after the start CONTINENTAL AUTO and GEE ITSA BOY broke. After approx 150m GEE ITSA BOY broke failing to settle. With approx 1300m to run CONFUSED SUPERSTAR broke. 200m after this the colt shifted sharply outwards directly into the path of GEE ITSA BOY causing CONFUSED SUPERSTAR and GEE ITSA BOY to be knocked to the ground in turn dislodging D G McCormick from the sulky. With 900m to run JINJA GAL broke when racing towards the rear of the field losing all chance. The connections of JINJA GAL and CONFUSED SUPERSTAR were warned to improve their respective runners racing manners. Co-trainer S Reid admitted a breach under Rule 865(4) in that he failed to notify that DEALORNODEAL would race without half hopples and was fined the sum of $100 by the JCA.
RACE 2: CHRISTCHURCH CASINO MOBILE PACE

LOUIE CULLEN commenced to tire rounding the final bend with driver D J Dunn shifting ARNOUX (favourite), who had previously been racing in the trail, into the one one in an attempt to avoid the tiring leader. ARNOUX was then obligated to race without suitable clearance in the initial stages of the run home. Driver M R McIntyre as the driver of GATE BENDER was advised to change her whip action.
RACE 3: FAHEY FENCE HIRE LTD MOBILE TROT

DENNY H broke early in the score up taking no part in the event while shortly after the start HAYLEYS GEE GEE and CHOCOLATE BROWNIE broke losing considerable ground.
RACE 4: PGG WRIGHTSON NZ YEARLING SALES SOUTHERN GRADUATE

The start of this event was delayed when a shoe on ALTA RICARDO had to be repaired. A false start was declared when LE SOL broke inconveniencing the second line runners. The connections of LE SOL were warned to improve the gelding's mobile barrier manners. During the running RED RANSOM and SOAK IT UP over-raced with driver R T May advising that RED RANSOM had choked down. With approx 800m to run LE SOL when racing parked three wide paced roughly with driver D J Dunn restraining the gelding out to race four wide from this point. SEA STORM tired rounding the final bend inconveniencing ARDEN'S SOUTHEE. AMAZING ART was held up for clear racing room late in the run home. Over the final stages LE SOL and RIVER BLACK came together after both of these horses raced greenly. Authorisation of 3rd place being awarded to STATE OF AFFAIRS was withheld after it was observed that the colt when leading had a tendency to drift into the passing lane in the run home. Driver B N Orange advised that ARDEN TETRICK's chances had not been affected after the colt was only momentarily held up when improving into the passing lane and that he had never had to stop driving his horse out. Placings were duly authorised. CHARGE FORWARD (Favourite) after settling mid-field improved three wide with cover with approx 1100m to run remaining three wide for the remainder of the event and failed to run on finishing in 10th place. Driver N P Williamson advised the colt had over-raced during the running. T Stratford was questioned by the Stewards regards the erratic manners of LE SOL. Mr Stratford advised that the horse for the first time had raced with a neck band which had caused the gelding to react poorly to the pole pricker and that they would be changing the geldings gear prior to resuming.
RACE 5: PAUL RENWICK KITCHEN & JOINERY CENTRE HANDICAP TROT
Advertised start time: 8.05pm Actual start time: 8.05.14pm
UNIQUE STAR broke over the early stages losing considerable ground. While after approx 100m IDID IT MYWAY broke settling back at the rear of the field. LUCKY NOVA when momentarily hanging in struck pylons rounding the final bend when racing three back on the inner.
RACE 6: NEVELE R FILLIES (HEAT 4)

RIDE IN A ROLLS lost ground off the rear of the field with approx 800m to run after pulling hard during the running.
RACE 7: TREVINO'S BAR & RESTAURANT MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 9.00pm Actual start time: 9.00.13pm
TRES BIEN FRANCO paced roughly shortly after the start when momentarily hanging and getting on the wheel of MUSIC BOX DANCER. JURYMAN and NO COURAGE RUSSELL were held up for clear racing room in the run home. Trainer M G Larter admitted a breach under Rule 865(4) in that he failed to notify that SHIRAE MORN would race without a pacifier and was fined the sum of $100 by the JCA.
RACE 8: BALLANTYNES HANDICAP TROT
Advertised start time: 9.30pm Actual start time: 9.30.35pm
U CAN I CAN broke over the early stages failing to settle when being restrained to the rear of the field. EXILE after improving to lead in the middle stages broke free of interference with approx 700m to run when being taken on for the lead by the rapidly improving SAVONA. The connections of U CAN I CAN and EXILE were warned to improve their respective runner's barrier manners. VALLEY OF FIRE commenced to give ground with approx 700m.
RACE 9: THE MAIN REPORT MOBILE (PBD) PACE
Advertised start time: 10.00pm Amended start time: 10.02.34pm
RONA LORRAINE was a late scratching at 3.00pm with connections being required to supply a veterinary certificate prior to the mare being eligible to resume racing. The start of this event was delayed by two minutes at the request of the TAB. DIXIE BELLE failed to gain clear racing room in the run home.
RACE 10: ADDINGTON EVENTS CENTRE MOBILE CENTRE
Advertised start time: 10.30pm Actual start time: 10.30.18pm
FRANCO JAMAR was a late scratching at 9.15am after sustaining a foot injury. A veterinary certificate was supplied to HRNZ to this effect. J R Dunn advised that LIONELS MEDDLE struck a number of pylons rounding the final bend when having a tendency to hang in.

Adjourned hearing from Timaru HRC meeting on Tuesday 16th of March
An information alleging careless driving against R H Jenkins was withdrawn after Stewards spoke to T.S Chmiel and R.H Jenkins.
Adjourned hearing from Ashburton Trotting Club meeting on Wednesday 10th of March
J C Hay admitted breaching rule 869(2)(a) which alleged he had used his whip in an excessive manner whilst driving JB'S COURAGE. The JCA imposed a fine to the sum of $200 upon Mr Hay.
This may not necessarily be the last report pertaining to this meeting as all race videos will be further reviewed.
