RACE 1: JOHN & CHRISTINE THOMSON MOBILE TROT
Advertised start time: 3.07pm            Official start time: 3.12:33pm
A false start was declared when Dawns Boy broke in the runup checking Castleton Victory on the second line. Dawns Boy was sent to the outside of the front line for the restart. At the restart Kelly Evander broke just prior to the dispatch. Red Mile and Castleton Victory were slow away. Dawns Boy broke with approx. 900m to run while racing at the back of the field. Hayleigh Anne broke short of the winning post. Authorisation of third placing was withheld by the Stewards until they were satisfied Hayleigh Anne had not breached the Breaking Horse Regulations, had not gained ground in a break nor had been lapped on by the fourth placed The Grandson. After viewing the videos all placings were authorised. The connections of Dawns Boy were warned to improve the geldings mobile start manners.

RACE 2: HAMISH SCOTT SUPPORTING SOUTHERN HARNESS RACING 2-Y-O MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 3.40pm            Official start time: 3.40:25pm
Ashira Bromac broke at the start with Essene being checked while attempting to take evasive action. Essene broke again free of interference with approx. 700m to run. Ashira Bromac paced roughly rounding the final bend while attempting to improve wide on the track. Franco Lordship (CD Thornley) hung inwards rounding the final bend and raced greenly in the home straight while being driven out. NP Williamson (Herbie's Bro) advised the Stewards he had difficulty steering the colt due to it hanging during the running. Authorisation of third placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied Franco Lordship had not gained an advantage when racing inside the pylons in the home straight. Third placing was duly authorised. CD Thornley was reminded of his obligations to keep his sulky outside the pylons.

RACE 3: DON'T TELL FAY FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 4.15pm                Official start time: 4.15:33pm
Approaching the home turn Eilis Rose raced greenly before straightening up. The favourite Red Hot Lover settled in the trail, then was pushed three deep, improved to challenge in the straight and fought on strongly for a close up fourth placing.

RACE 4: JOHN KEENAN MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 4.50pm                Official start time: 4.50:24pm
Flying Ermis and Sonny Albert were slow away early. Winnies Central raced greenly in the home straight.

RACE 5: JOHN EARL SADDLERY SPECIAL HDCP TROT
Advertised start time: 5.25pm                Official start time: 5.25:52pm
The favourite The Fiery Ginga was slow away from the 30m mark. Feather's First hung badly during the running and broke in the home straight. Suncrusher broke in the home straight when challenging wide on the track.

RACE 6: SGT DAN STOCKFOODS MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 5.53pm             Official start time: 5.53:22pm
Track conditions were down graded to Good prior to the start of this race. Artison broke rounding the first bend while racing at the back of the field. Livelovelaugh hung badly throughout breaking briefly with 1100m to run checking Arden Du Plessis for a few strides. Claremont Rose never received clear racing room in the home straight.

RACE 7: MARSHALL INDUSTRIES CHARITY RACEDAY 28TH MARCH MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 6.25pm             Official start time: 6.25:32pm
Lady Of Eden was very slow to begin and hung badly throughout. Ambro Rock paced roughly and broke free of interference on the first bend with Chicago Blues being inconvenienced. Kylie Rachael over raced during the running then compounded with approx. 600m to run. AW Scobie (Plunder Bay) was charged with a Breach of Rule 869 (2) (a) in that he used his whip excessively over the final 400m. The JCA opened and adjourned a hearing until the Gore HRC meeting on the 14th March 2010.

RACE 8: EQUINE INVESTMENTS MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 6.50pm             Official start time: 6.51:07pm
Red Hot Hat raced keenly over the early stages striking the wheel of Drivin A Ferrari with approx. 1700m to run. BD McLellan (Drivin A Ferrari) reported to the Stewards he received a punctured sulky tyre and he also  lost his whip with approx. 1700m to run. David Fagan gave ground with approx. 400m to run after sitting parked out for most of the journey.

RACE 9: AB LIME LTD MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 7.15pm             Official start time: 7.16:05pm
Kute Kid paced roughly and broke at the start checking The Odd One. With approx. 1600m to run The Odd One and Kute Kid broke when the pace eased. With approx. 500m to run Squeezemegently, which was leading, hung inwards and eventually broke. As Squeezemegently retired through the field other runners were forced to take evasive action with Le Rocket being checked and breaking for several strides and Matai Denny being severely held up. Alpine Andy hung inwards in the home straight while being driven out and had to be straightened up. The connections of Squeezemegently were advised the gelding was stood down for 14 days.

RACE 10: HAMISH HUNTER STABLES MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 7.45pm             Official start time: 7.45:17pm
Cuzzie's Veecee was slow away from the Unruly position. With approx. 1600m and 800m to run Commander In Chief broke free of interference. With approx. 1400m to run Mary Collie (MP Jones) raced wider on the track when Flying Diamonds (AL Stratford) improved on its inside. With approx. 1300m to run Commander In Chief was forced to race wider on the track when Cinte (AW Scobie) improved on its inside. Touche Express compounded over the final stages. Authorisation of first placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied Flying Diamonds had already improved outwards prior to when Mary Collie improved. MP Jones also confirmed his chances were not affected. AL Stratford was however shown a video replay of this incident and reminded of his obligations regarding the Push Out Rule. An enquiry was opened and adjourned regarding when Cinte (AW Scobie) improved outwards with approx. 1300m to run forcing Commander In Chief to race wider on the track.
