RACE 1 - STREAMLINE FREIGHT MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 5.45 p.m. Actual start time: 5.45.41 p.m.
Trainer R. Brosnan was warned to improve BALTIC WARRIOR'S mobile barrier manners.  This horse broke shortly after the start settling well back.  Favourite GOMEO ROMEO settled in the trail, shuffled three deep on the running line inside the 1000m, failed to get clear racing room over the concluding stages finishing an unlucky 5th.

RACE 2 - CROMBIE LOCKWOOD MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time:  6.15 p.m.  Actual start time: 6.15.23 p.m.
GUARDIAN was a late scratching with a veterinary certificate provided.  An information was lodged alleging a breach of Rule 849(2) in that Trainer A.G. Herlihy failed to ensure MIYSIS was presented in the assembly area with the correctly numbered saddlecloth.  The breach was admitted and the J.C.A. imposed a fine of $150.00.

RACE 3 - WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 6.45 p.m. Actual start time: 6.45.42 p.m.
The favourite CLEAN CUT (K. Barron) broke when racing inside WOT THE OWL causing it to lose approximately eight lengths before settling at the rear.  CLEAN CUT improved to race five deep on the running line inside the 800m, held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages, finishing 7th.  A protest was lodged against the 4th placing of GRACE WAY (A.G. Herlihy) alleging a breach of Rule 869(4) in that horseman A. Herlihy moved GRACE WAY inwards after the start which caused MANHATTAN CRUZER (D. Butcher) to move inwards down onto WOT THE OWL (P. Young) which caused interference to CLEAN CUT (K. Barron).  There was a major delay to the hearing of this protest due to the non-appearance of one of the witnesses due to a communication breakdown.  During the course of the hearing it was established that there were a number of mitigating circumstances and the Stewards withdrew the protest. ELEGANT JAY has been removed from the unruly for future mobile starts.

RACE 4 - AUCKLAND COOP TAXIS F&M MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 7.15 p.m.  Actual start time: 7.22.18 p.m.
There was a delay to the start of this race at the request of the TAB due to the hearing in the previous race and the need to clear dividends back to 4th for the Australian betting pools.

RACE 5 - CULLEN BREEDING YOUNG GUNS HT7 2YOF MOBILE APCE
Advertised start time: 7.45 p.m.  Actual start time: 7.46.34 p.m.
Trainer A.G. Herlihy was warned to improve MILLWOOD MANHATTAN'S mobile barrier manners.  This horse broke in the run up settling well back.


RACE 6 - PASCOES THE JEWELLERS HANDICAP TROT
Advertised start time: 8.20 p.m.  Actual start time: 8.20.41 p.m.
TITIAN SUN failed to move off with the rest of the field when the barrier strands were released settling well back.  ALIEN WAITS broke shortly after the start settling quickly.  SPRINGFIELD HERO broke racing into the first turn and broke in the run home.  Trainer A. Herlihy advised that he will be applying half hopples to this horse for its next start in an attempt correct its racing manners.  However, the Stipendiary Stewards issued the trainer with a final warning that a repetition would result in this horse being stood down. Trainer W. Thomas was warned to improve TITAN SUN'S racing manners.

RACE 7 - AUCKLAND COOP TAXIS HANDICAP PACE
Advertised start time: 8.50 p.m.  Actual start time: 8.50.41 p.m.
Horses to make mistakes at the start were STILL COUGHIN, THOMAS MAGUIRE and RAGLAN.

RACE 8 - CADUCEUS CLUB HANDICAP TROT
Advertised start time: 9.20 p.m.  Actual start time: 9.20.19 p.m.
No horses were claimed from this event.  BOSSCOE was a late scratching at 12.00 noon on 26th February 2010.  A veterinary certificate is to be supplied.  MEYER LANSKY broke at the start while KD COMMANDO broke shortly after the start losing its chance.  The authorisation of the payment of the third placing of THE WICKET MAIDEN (S. McMullan) was withheld until such time that it was confirmed by Junior Horseman Z. Butcher that PERIGO had broken free of interference with approximately 700m to run.  Favourite DON GIOVANNI (D. Dunn) settled at the rear, improved three wide without cover at the 1000m to race outside the leader inside the 700m, broke on the home bend losing its chance.  Trainers Balle and Gillies were warned to improve KD COMMANDO'S standing start manners.  An information was lodged alleging a breach of Rule 865(4) in that Trainer T. Mitchell presented DON GIOVANNI in the assembly area to race without half hopples and pacifier as previously notified.  The breach was admitted and the J.C.A. imposed a fine of $100.00.

RACE 9 - CHRISTIAN CULLEN F & M MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 9.50 p.m.  Actual start time: 9.50.46
JILLETTO (T. Mitchell) failed to get clear racing room over the concluding stages finishing 4th.

RACE 10 - CUP & DERBY BARRIER DRAW MARCH 7 MOBILE PACE
Advertised start time: 10.20 p.m.  Actual start time: 10.20.41p.m.
The favourite TODDY (T. Macfarlane) broke free of interference causing THE OYSTER BAR to take evasive action shortly after the start.  UNDERWOOD ROAD paced roughly shortly after the start.  First starter DR FEN broke for several strides with approximately 1800m to run resulting in checks to MCTAGGART (A.G. Herlihy), NORVIC AWAY (P. Young), BROOKFIELD TALENT (J. Stormont) and UNDERWOOD ROAD (B.Mangos) and TODDY which was pulled up with broken gear.  Trainer J. Cole was warned to improve DR FEN'S racing manners.  The connections of TODDY were warned to improve this horse's mobile barrier manners.  A protest was lodged against the 3rd placing of THE OYSTER BAR (D. Butcher) on the grounds of causing interference when moving outwards striking the front leg of ARJAYEM (G. Wolfenden) causing this horse to break and lose its chance.  The protest was upheld and the J.C.A. relegated THE OYSTER BAR to 10th place in behind ARJAYEM.  An associated charge was lodged and adjourned to a date to be fixed alleging that horseman D. Butcher was in breach of Rule 869(4).
