SPECIAL CONDITIONS
1. HORSE ATTENDANT: Trainers and Drivers are advised that should they be required to attend a judicial enquiry a starters assistant will be made available for the purpose of returning their horse to the stable enclosure. If a trainer or driver does not wish a starters assistant to carry out this duty it will be the trainers responsibility to provide an attendant at all times.
2. MOBILE RACES: (a) Mobile start events may be limited to a maximum of 13 runners, excepting mile events, which will be limited to 12 runners, eight of which will start from the front line. (b) A maximum of two emergencies will be selected per race and these horses will be included in the barrier draw. (c) In all races the Club reserves the right to eliminate any horse that is an acceptor for any other meeting.
3. INSUFFICIENT/EXCESS NOMINATIONS: Owners and Trainers are reminded that the Club has the right to transfer any horse not selected for a race for which it was nominated, to any other race on the programme for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the Club to exercise its right to transfer a nominated horse then it is your responsibility to advise the Club of the same.
4. BARRIER DRAW -MOBILE RACES: The order of preference draws is:- 1,2,3,4,5,9,10,6,7,8,11,12,13 Barrier draws will be allocated in the above order of priority, a right of re-entry will not apply in these races and there will be no movement of horses from the second line to the front line after the fields have been declared. If a field of 8 the order of preference is:- 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. If a field of 9 the order of preference is:- 1,2,3,4,5,9,6,7,8. If a field of 10 the order of preference is:- 1,2,3,4,5,9,10,6,7,8.
5. SCRATCHING PENALTIES: The scratching penalties are detailed in the New Zealand Harness Racing Licence Holders Directory.
