SPECIAL CONDITIONS
1. HORSE ATTENDANT: Trainers and Drivers are advised that should they be required to attend a judicial enquiry a starters assistant will be made available for the purpose of returning their horse to the Stable enclosure. If a trainer or driver does not wish a starters assistant to carry out this duty it will be the trainers responsibility to provide an attendant at all times.
2. SCRATCHING PENALTIES: Horses scratched from this meeting are subject to the scratching penalties approved by the Executive Committee. For further information refer to the Harness Racing New Zealand Licence Holders Directory.
3. THE ULTIMATE AWARD: For horses registering for the Performance Incentive Scheme from the 3 November 2000. Should a pacer or trotter be a Non winner,at the time of registration for the scheme, win exclusively at Alexandra Park within a two year period win 10 races, it will be awarded The Ultimate Award. The owners at the time of horse recording it's 10th win will receive The Ultimate Award a $10,000 cash bonus. For horses registered for the Performance Incentive Scheme prior to the 3 November 2000 the conditions advertised in the HRW on the 18th October 2000 will apply.
4. PERFORMANCE INCENTIVE SCHEME: From the 20th November 2003 for every third win in a totalisator race, including dead heats a horse at a racemeeting staged at Alexandra Park the owners of the horse at the third win,will receive a bonus payment of 50% of winners stake allocation for the race. For example in a race Total stake $10,000 - winner's allocation - $5,800 Bonus Payment - $2,900. The Performance Incentive Scheme applies to all races, including Group races and races staged on behalf of the NZ Sires Stakes Board. The maximum bonus payable is $10,000, ie- A $20,000 race, winners allocation is $12,000, bonus payable $6,000. In a $100,000 race, winners allocation $62,500, bonus payable $10,000. As from 1 August 2008 owners will be levied a fee equal to 1% of the gross stake (plus gst) of each race with a maximum levy payable of $300 (plus gst) All horses having their first start at Alexandra Park will be deemed to be in the scheme until such time as the Racing Manager is notified in writing prior to the horse racing.
